Spring 2024 Boy's MHSVCA AWARDS Information & Timelines
The MHSVCA is a volunteer organization of coaches working to promote high school volleyball in the state of Missouri.
The MHSVCA serves to improve the quality of girls high school volleyball development in the state of Missouri. Our primary efforts are to recognize players and coaches while also working to help develop coaches, programs, teams and players.
A coach must be a MHSVCA member and head high school coach in order for his/her player(s) to be eligible for All-District, All-State, and Academic All-State honors. A coach must also have all match statistics updated (by the Sunday after the state tournament) to Maxpreps in order for his/her player to be eligible for All-State honors.
A coach must have match scores updated to Maxpreps in order for his/her team to be considered in the state rankings.

Criteria (three required) for Potential HOF Candidates
1. Must be coaching high school volleyball for a minimum of 15 years (50% or more in Missouri)
2. A coach who is retired with a minimum of 10 years head coaching experience in Missouri.
3. The nominee has made a significant impact on the development of high school volleyball either currently or in early years.
4. Three hundred wins have been recorded (girls or boys volleyball individually).
5. Nominee was a MHSVCA member while coaching.
6. The nominee has made contributions to volleyball outside the regular season.
HOF Nominating Process
Any member of the MHSVCA may nominate a retired or current coach who meets three or more of the above criteria. Please email the nomination form for this purpose to any member of the Hall of Fame Committee.

Nominations for the 2023 MHSVCA girl's All-State teams are due by November 5th. Members will discuss the nominees at our annual meeting tentatively scheduled for Monday, November 13, 2023 (Stoney Creek - Columbia, MO). Date/location/time is subject to change. Members will review stats as posted on MaxPreps, and decide on the final MHSVCA All-State teams.

If you run into technical issues with MaxPreps please notify MaxPreps directly. This is the same procedure used by the AVCA for All-American selections and nominations. It is the coaches responsibility to make sure your athletes' information is submitted correctly.

CRITERIA FOR ALL-STATE NOMINATIONS & CONSIDERATIONS
1) The athlete is an impact player in every match played.
2) The athlete is one of the better players on the floor in every match played.
3) The athlete has superb technical skills in addition to outstanding athleticism.
4) The athlete typically plays, or is capable of playing, all six rotations (or is truly superior in a more limited capacity).
5) The athlete could potentially play Collegiate VB.
6) The athlete possesses and exhibits outstanding personal characteristics.
7) The athlete is in good standing and is not in violation of, nor being reviewed for violations of, any Athletic or School Code of Conduct.
